As we can see from the map, France's contains a variety of climate types including oceanic, semi-oceanic, mountain, continental and Mediterranean. Also we see that there is not much consistency in the climate type horizontally, but there is some vertical correlation in climate types.
Seasonality
The annual range of temperature for the capitol of France, Paris is 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit (hottest month July) - 42.8 degrees Fahrenheit (coldest month January). And the annual range of precipitation is 2.44 inches (wettest month May) - 1.77 inches (driest months February and April).For the city of Nice (lower right) in the mountainous region the annual range in temperature is 78.8 degrees Fahrenheit (hottest months July/August) - 53.6 degrees Fahrenheit (coldest month January). And the annual range of precipitation for Nice is 4.29 inches (wettest month October) - 0.71 inches (driest month July).

for Honolulu, Hawaii the annual temperature range is 88 degrees Fahrenheit (hottest months July-September) - 81 degrees Fahrenheit (coldest months January/February). The annual precipitation range is 4.01 inches (wettest month December) - 0.46 inches ( driest month June).
While they are both fairly temperate, Honolulu is more temperate than Paris, and also has more precipitation.
Paris is considerably temperate, the winters are not harshly cold and the summers not unbearably hot.
